They look good to me, but I do kind of agree in the loss of the graceful sporty body lines that once made Ferrari's so nice.

I actually don't mind the 612 at all...it's the only Ferrari I've ever obsessed over as far as looks go. They're designs have done nothing for me as of late.

I gotta agree with brosef on this one. The 355 has always been one of my favorites. Not saying I dislike ALL the new stuff, cause lord knows I'd rock one, but they don't appeal to me in the same aspect as the 355 did/does.

This thread reminds me of a couple weeks back when i was passed by a F50 on I-20 and almost had a heart attack.

...sure don't make 'em like they used to, I'll agree with Yousef on that!

i didnt even think the f50 was street legal in the states... thought it was too wide, or didnt pass crash standards or something

it definitely took up the entire bit of one lane, sounded absolutely amazing, and the exhausts were on the corners of the bumper instead of in the middle like the F40. :)

I like it because it's functional. As radical as the design is, it also produces more downforce and lower drag coefficient than it's predecessors. Everyone always goes back to the 355 or F40 when they talk about Ferrari. Am I the only one who thought the Enzo was a beautiful car?

I was not a fan when I first saw the car. However after watching it on Top Gear from Sunday night it is growing on me.

The guys on Top Gear think it is great looking (I must disagree) but everything else seems to kick ass....except the Nav. it takes the place of the speedometer and you can not have both up at the same time. They bitched about the controls mounted on the steering wheel but I don't think that would matter much to me.

My wife's Pacifica has its Navi in the same place where the gauge are. It's actually pretty cool having it there.

Yes but the Pacifica still has the MPH gauge on top of it (i agree this is a cool design). The Ferrari has a digital spedo and when you use the nav feature, the screen is the same one used for the spedo

I agree with Sir Camel Jockey of Nazerith Jr. that the 355 is one beautiful car. It's raw..not elegant like vintage designs, but it's awesome...right there with the F40. I never liked the 360...it's looked too feminine after the F430 came out.

If I look at the individual design aspects of the California, I like them. But something about all of them put together doesn't seem to flow "right". With that said, I saw one out on Long Island this past weekend in that light blue metallic and it did indeed look very good. I also saw a white 458 at Ferrari of Manhatten and I liked it. I didn't get to look at it too long and was prohibited from taking pics in the dealership (strange...it's just a dealership) and I liked it much more than the California. Particularly, I like the odd-numbered exhaust...much like the F40.

I prefer the 599 over the 612, though they do look rather similar to me...bould would still take a F430 over either one.
