According to Skip Barber Racing School, It's official, a US Formula One Grand Prix in Austin, TX from 2012 to 2021.

They just announced the site in Austin today.

Hopefully the designer changes his boring ways and makes this track worth something. Either way I will be there, I am buying tickets as soon as they're available. It can't be any more boring than Indy. lol

He has...many times. Name a track he's made that isn't as boring as Indy. lol

Indy's problem just wasn't a boring race (even though it sucked), the city didn't come alive when Formula 1 came to town and that has a lot to do with a race weekend imo.
Going up to Montreal, you feel like half of Europe has come over just for the race and the city itself embraces the F1 circus the whole weekend.
Its one hell of a party.

I entirely agree, I do think Austin has a better chance for that type of atmosphere though so we will have to wait and see.

i think with it being in austin, you will be able to get a lot more latin american visitors/tourists come into austin for the race.
