So driving up to IA...my car was so heat soaked it felt like i was back to stock boost, with a cylinder misfire, bad gas, and a D16Y7 swap.
This is the first time i have ever had that bad of a heat soak issue. Most MKVs i see don't have a FMIC and most do not upgrade unless they are Stage 3. i'm wondering if i should wait or just suck it up and get a FMIC. The S3 (no we don't make front mounts) FMIC is relatively inexpensive but i'm also Indian and cheap. lol
thoughts?
boobies?

I would say learn to drive but it's an auto. Tracy is half right, real VW's stopped after 92. F/I just suck in this kinda heat. Dont go FMIC til you have to and w the fuel pump issues those have when chipping it will be a while. Get your exhaust sorted first or learn to drive a stick.

We do have FMIC's, I guess they don't work to well though. If I had the cash I would go APR FMIC to keep the clean stock look, but S3 or Forge's twintercooler seem to be the popular alternative's.

get trubo hotside, exhaust manifold ceramic coated. It will help in performance and heat soak. I finally gave in and tore my suby down to get this done. Looking forward to cooler engine bay.
