No, unless it is a running car that looks good selling for $200 bucks. Atleast if it craps out on you it can be parted out, or scrapped while not loosing any money, lol.

It honestly really depends on the car and how rare it is. If it's any type of Honda, i'd probably pass unless it's an antique like QDs.

If it is an "oldie but goldie" - then it'd have to be in fabulous shape, i'd do my best to inspect is 6 ways to Sunday before i handed over any money.

Doesn't scare me, but it depends on the details involved. A rebuilt title could be from hitting a curb and bending the frame a little. Proof of minor rebuild would be necessary.

It depends on why it was "rebuilt". My 02 eclipse and my 90 dsm both said "rebuilt" on the title, but there was no history of anything bad to either one of them...

It depends how you look at it. I work on my own cars. Example, I would buy a wrecked Infiniti FX35 from an auction and fix it and apply for a salvage title. I would rather pay $10-15k after fixing it than to fork out $26-30K used for it. add interest and taxes and you'll be beyond that. And i will own it. Who will know? I will not step foot into another new car. Just my opinion.

true true, but not all of us are mechanics like you. and someone of the cars on the market is kind of sketchy. im not going to lie, i will buy a car from you that has a rebuilt title because of your rep. but some of these guys, can't really trust

True. I was stating what i would have done. It also goes to lower end cars. Shops will buy a salvage title car to make a drag car instead of a clean title from a financial standpoint. If i was to build a booseted street EG or EK, i would not get a clean title. You will not get what you put in at the end, why not salvage title? In the end when you part it, theres many people out there that will take it quicker than a clean shell. Just my opinion.

i have bought rebuilt title cars before. always look it over really really good, take it for a long test drive and pull a carfax if you can. i have walked away from some salvaged cars after looking and seeing that things just were not right on it. example if my Si gets hit and totalled a body shop would buy it cheap, fix the body work and apply for the rebuilt title and it could come from theft of rims, radio, etc. i saw a del sol this way, DOHC engine was intact, they stole the wheels, radio, and a few other things. also the person i got my cams from same thing there and his car was complete almost, they left the CTR motor and tranny in it and stole some body parts.
