Can't wait to see them in ACTION!!! I know there has been speculation over how durable these motors are. I guess we'll find out soon! Haha. Would be SICK if the stock block could hold 600-650 for 50k miles. Can't wait to find out!
i think they will hold up very well, i mean the 5.4 in the gt500 is 540 hp and comes with a damn good warranty, so i dont see why the 5.0 wouldnt but we shall def see

I'm curious to see how the bottom end will hold up too. So far there have been quite a few nitrous cars running very successfully in the 10's on the stock motor. Strictly Performance has one with a 250 shot direct port kit making 656 rwhp through a c4 that is running 9's Its held through dyno tuning and quite a few passes at the track. Still a lot of speculation on where the weak point is on these motors. Won't really know until the general public can start buying up aftermarket goodies. The turbo kits and s/c kits are really just now starting to hit the market. I can't wait to see what they are capable of in n/a form though.
On another not the Evolution Performance car with the F1C, people are speculating it will be in the 850+ to 1xxx range. From what I'm reading it will likely be a easy 9 second player.

lololol lee and they in all honestly prob wint go much further stock displacement, the air flow of the stock setup is only 7% restriction, you can maybe get a small but from intake, there is always cams, but given keepin it stock displacement i dont for see it goin crazy as a 5.0 but you never kno you could change pistons and make it higher compression but that damn thing is already over 11:1 stock...its a nasty damn motor regardless wish i had it its the only modular i would take over my 347

Right now a few shops are pulling around 415-430 at the wheels with intake, exhaust and tune only. I believe with ported heads and cams that they may pull around 500 out of them with stock displacement fairly easy. Should be fun to watch when the aftermarket really starts pushing parts for them.

o yea lol but you kno ford and their bullshit tightness on their 4v head design so there will never be a real after market head, just a ported stock , also evolution pulled 407 whp with intake, o/r x pipe, exhaust, and tune, but i cant wait to see how damn expensive the aftermarket is gonna be glad my 5.0 is cheap

Aftermarket will definitely be expensive to start off just like everything is. The 4v heads are already really good from Ford so there is really almost no need for an aftermarket head. Trick Flow was smart with there 2v heads, but the cost to produce a 4v head would be much higher and there is much less demand for it. The stock 5.0 4V heads flow over 300cfm from Ford so it would be tough to make something better. Even the 03-04 4v heads after porting will flow 320+.
A really sick set of heads are the 00 Cobra R/Ford GT heads. After porting they will flow 370+/310+ I won't be at all surprised to see these new heads outperform those though. Ford has come a long was since the B heads and made a bunch of steps in the right direction as far as the modular motors are concerned.
Those old windsor based pushrod motors will always be a cheap way to make really good power though. Its hard to compete with the bang for buck on those.
Got this list off of Modular Fords. I'm thinking Livernois has a very generous dyno at there shop lol.

Don't know if you guys saw it. Strictly Performance already put one in the 9's. With only a C4 swap, upper/lower control arms, Bogarts, and a custom direct port 250 shot it put down 656 rwhp on the dyno and went 9.96@137 off the trailer.
trailer is gay lol but evolution is the leader in the 5.0 at the moment as far as tuning goes, and yea cant beat my bang for the buck i built the majority of my motor for the cost of heads and cams for a 4v lol

JPC's Paxton Novi 2200, Long tube headers, stock engine. 661 rwhp on 9 psi!!!
This right here is why I went with the Novi2200... so much room to grow. Im at 500rwhp only on 8psi! Cant wait to build my motor in the future and up the boost.
