Remember when you were a little kid, and your dad took you to a classic car show at some church parking lot? Old guys lounging around old Corvettes in lawn chairs… listening to oldies. Well, LS Fest takes this concept, wads it up, and throws it in the trash!
Every direction you look at Beech Bend Raceway during Holley LS Fest, there is something exciting happening. Drag racing, Drifting, Autocross, a Dyno Challenge, and an Engine Swap challenge, not to mention the Show N’ Shine – which attracts some of the most unique LS swaps you’ll see anywhere! This year’s event had over 1,050 registered competitors, and saw over 15,000 attendees….
LS Fest is what happens when different automotive cultures collide over one common love.
Imports & such, tend to be a young man’s game. And a lot of us reading this mag got our start in the import world. But LS Fest is not exactly a young crowd. Nor is it old. It’s ‘all of us’. And that’s because the LS appeals to so many people, for so many different reasons… over some vastly different generations & demographics. It’s a testament to the success of the LS engine.
Kids from 8-to-80 can lean back & daydream about an LS in their ultimate dream car… but the car or truck itself might be very different. LS Fest is what happens when different automotive cultures collide over one common love. And it’s a beautiful sight to see everyone appreciating & learning from each other’s automotive accomplishments, regardless of the segment they belong to.
