Unfortunately, on some small scale… some very very small scale… I can relate to Zeke’s situation now. Or maybe it’s better to say that I still can’t relate at all. But at least I have adequate compassion for his situation now.
See – Zeke is paralyzed from the waist down… fallout from a motorcycle accident years
and years ago. And I’ve known him for years. We’re not super-close buds… but we end up at the same places a lot of the time. And he’s always struck me as a really cool dude. Because – I’ve always kind of looked up to him in a way (not literally – jk jk). He tracks this car – all the time. Like seriously, every chance he gets. And his daily is an S60R wagon in that Flash green color… and it actually makes more power than this one does… a sleeper that’s not a sleeper anymore. So the dude is down with it.

My wife, mom, and fam! Kieran and the guys at Gran Turismo East for all the support; Mike at VolvoTista – for doing the custom fab stuff; Jeremy at Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) – for track access before the track is even completed. Volvo4Life!; And all the others who believed in my vision of a fast Volvo.
I love zeke…my brutha!
One of my favorite cars from the new issue, glad we had the chance to cover an awesome build like this.
One of the sickest Volvo's ever! The fact that the owner races this car and he's paralyzed from the waist down is a great example of true dedication!
sogood
Nice job Zeke! I miss my days with S3 with my Tiburon many years back (2004). See you at the garage buddy!
