The Ford Mustang Mach-E wins AAA’s best overall car for 2022?
Hell, the Mach-E isn’t even the best overall FORD of 2022 lol. It’s an a-g-e-n-d-a. A forced movement. The top 4 vehicles on AAA’s list were all EVs. And the top 6 were electric/hybrid. It seems like progressivism is almost the basis for judgment on ranking new cars here.
And this is what happens when automotive journalists are no longer automotive enthusiasts like they should be. But rather, activists who ride a borrowed electric scooter to work… to write about cars. And because of that, they’re hyper-fixated on 2 things: 1) Is it EV? And 2) What’s the range? That seems to be all they talk about… all they consider.
But here’s the rub: It’s neither efficient or green to spend $60,000+ on an EV that’s NOT serviceable, and WILL be obsolete in 7 years. Car enthusiast understand that instinctively. Tech people & spoon-fed news people don’t. If you want to buy an EV, by all means do it. Support the technology, push it forward, and stick it to the oil companies. But don’t do it under the guise of ‘you’re more enlightened than me.’
Who’s pushing the direction of the market?
Couldn’t agree more.
I’m at the age and income now where a new vehicle is a possibility for the first time in my life. However what I want is to not spend anywhere near that much money, I absolutely want knobs and NO touch screen. Guess I’ll just have to stick with 15-40 year old cars because they’re either so cheap to own a new car is just stupid or they speak to my soul and I spend new car money on stuff from the 80’s
