…Some more pics from Saturday at FD Road Atlanta. I tried to run through the parking lots later in the day and snap some of the spectator cars. Personally – I’ve always found the spectator cars just as exciting (in a lot of ways), as the competition cars. There were a lot of great rides in the infield that I couldn’t get, just because they were parked close together, or in poorly lit areas. So a lot of the cars here were just in the sorta right spot at the right time…. wasn’t playing favorites haha.

Totally agree. Especially the ones mid-build. Nothing shares about the driver more than a ding, scratch, dent, or crack. Each have a story, like the inner rings of a tree.
I can respect a good snap of a “finished” car, or one that’s show ready. But to me, the best ones are the rides with imperfections. They reveal so much character and share about the past of the car, while also sharing the future of the next weekend project or yearly plan.
To me, the imperfections of the car are also what really make this community so positive and healthy. It enables us to set goals, be creative, and grow in our responsibility. That’s basically everything YMCA’s, Boy Scout’s, or schools try to shove in our heads. And THAT’S why your mom hooked you in with Hotwheels when you were 4yrs old. 😉 Thanks Mom
