Mazda unveiled the Mazda MX-5 Miata 35th Anniversary during the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Only 300 examples will be made for the US, making it one of the rarest stateside specialty models in Miata’s history. The color is Artesian Red Metallic. It’s available with a manual transmission only.
Performance-wise…
There are no exclusives or power-bumps over a well-spec’d regular Miata, but you do get the limited-slip. Inside, the car has tan interior with a 35th Anniversary logo embossed in the (heated) seats. And – there seems to be tan stitching around the steering wheel & shift knob, although it was not specifically mentioned. You get an exclusive color-matched, leather-wrapped key fob. The rear spoiler is also color-matched to the car.
Mazda is also teasing…
An invitation to a special ownership experience as part of a 35th Anniversary purchase… but details are secretive on that. Finally, pricing for the 35th anniversary is $36,250.
