And as a response, S3 is now offering super-affordable 1/8th page print ads and web banner ads – geared specifically for these passionate new companies. This is an opportunity for you to be able to step up & take things to the next level, and get your brand noticed in an internationally distributed magazine… all with very little investment.

1/8 page print advertisement: from $200 per issue
These ads will print in the next issue of S3 Magazine (currently accepting artwork for Issue 26). This issue should be on sale by January 2013 and artwork must be received no later than December 1, 2012. We cannot guarantee that artwork sent after this date will be accepted. Print dates are subject to change. Please see instructions below for ad specifications and guidelines for submitting artwork.
This price also includes a box (30 copies) of magazines sent to you for distribution however you would like.
This price will get you a 240 pixel wide gray scale logo inserted to the “partners” section of our homepage (www.s3magazine.wpengine.com). Please contact msanders@s3magazine.wpengine.com for information on other available web ad placement.
Purchasing this option will sign you up for a monthly payment subscription through paypal. $25 will be charged each month until cancelled.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1/8 page print advertisements: If you are submitting your own artwork, please send a flattened 300 DPI JPG, PDF, or TIFF file. File must be in CMYK color mode and flattened (please do not send layered files).
Specifications are: 3.5″ wide x 2.3″ high @ 300 DPI. No bleed necessary, please prepare your file at this exact size. Any ads that do not meet these specifications will be rejected and will not print.
Web banner advertisements: Please send a 72 DPI JPG, GIF, or PNG or vector (.AI or .EPS) version of your company logo on a plain white or transparent background. Logo will be re-sized to 240 px wide by the proportional height and converted to gray scale (see current web partners on the home page of our site: www.s3magazine.wpengine.com). Logos sent on any background other than white will be rejected.
Artwork can be e-mailed to cwellons@s3magazine.wpengine.com or uploaded to our FTP server (login information can also be provided by writing the e-mail address above).
ARTWORK DESIGN
For a fee of $50, we will design your 1/8 print advertisement for you. If you would like this option, please select it when paying with the links above. Immediately after paying, please contact cwellons@s3magazine.wpengine.com to get your design process started.
We will need (at the very minimum): a high resolution copy of your logo; any text you would like in the ad (these ads are small so please keep it brief – no more than 1-2 sentences); your contact information (web site, phone, address, facebook, etc); and if desired, a high resolution photo to be included (photos must be 300 DPI). We will do our best to send you a preview of the ad within one week and you will then be allowed one round of revisions before signing off on the ad.
