The Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition will be Jaguar’s last internal combustion sports car. I guess – that’s if you consider the F-Type a true sports car’ in the first place. Which Jaguar does. But which I don’t… because it’s missing a damn pedal. But I do consider the F-Type to be a truly beautiful & stunning car. And even though I’ve never owned a Jaguar, I’m drawn to them. Whitesnake probably had a lot to do with that lol. Nevertheless, it pains me to see Jaguar close this chapter. They weren’t the best; but they were sexy. And always a bit of a rule breaker.

Sidenote: Have you noticed…

That the car companies who’ve historically have the most unreliable internal combustion engines… are the first ones to try and “reinvent themselves as an electric brand” (in the words of Road & Track). Because I’ve noticed that. And you should too lol.

And Jaguar is doing it quickly…

Setting the lofty goal to be all-electric by 2025. It will be interesting to see how that actually plays out. Do they mean all-electric… as in a whopping 1-model lineup? Maybe 2? Or will they walk that statement back, as the UK prime minister is doing now. Because – if your big plan is to reinvent yourself as an electric car company, and that agenda fizzles, what’s Plan B? And how do you keep Jaguar sexy… without the growl? You gonna try & replace growl & bite… with tech & autonomy? Best of luck, but it ain’t the same thing. I will say, that Jaguar design is at the top of my list. So if the automotive industry does in fact turn themselves into EV appliances where all the batteries are made in China… you may as well pick the pretty one’, right? But I digress – let’s get to the details of the swan-song F-Type ZP Edition.

The Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition…

There will only be 150 made, so this is for the Jaguar collector. Someone who wants the final piece of Jaguar’s fire-breathing, 575hp, V8 seduction era. The ZP Edition comes dressed in a navy with red-wine interior, or silver with navy interior. There are no unique power-adders to the final ZP Edition, but the ZP does get special wheels, trim, & badging. The meatballs on the sides are hand-painted. And ummm… that’s about it. That’s how the story & the pedigree ends. I guess we’ll ultimately see if the EV sequel is worth watching.
