Welp, the E34 officially has a blown headgasket… or worse. I’m not too down about it though. It was a $500 BMW… what did I really expect? So now I guess it’s time to pull the head & see what lies beneath. I’m told these M50 engines (non-vanos here) don’t mind a little boost. And I’m tempted! But at the same time, ehhh, do I really wanna open that whole can of worms?
Honestly – I’m at a point where a ‘running’ slower car sounds more appealing than boosted never-ending headache lol. And, there’s something that ‘feels acceptable’ about a period-correct NA BMW with with a manual transmission. An S52-swap is on the table. But I’d probably need to sell my Honda K20A engine to fund it. Decisions decisions…
