It has been a sad week in the automotive aftermarket industry, as we watched Forge Motorsport USA shut down their facility in Florida. All of the employees were given their walking papers, and they are now apparently moving the operation up to Tennessee.

Actually, it looks like they are going to be moving into a facility owned by another UK manufacturer called Milltek. This is where it all starts to make sense. This is all about cost cutting and consolidation.

I completely understand and expect to see these types of decisions when costs are high and the economy is not great. I just hate the fact that good people within our industry were essentially the sacrificial lambs in this particular instance. That flat out sucks, but I look forward to seeing them all move into bigger and better things.
