This week has been interesting, to say the least.

We have been hard at work over at the Slightly Mangled garage. Jake managed to slide in the Hasport Performance engine & T-brackets between the subframe & the body thanks to our HRG Engineering subframe drop. Once all of the mounts were torqued, we started plumbing up all of the hoses. Next, we hooked up the power steering pump & A/C system. Everything was going smooth. That is, until, we hit a road block. As I was wiring up the ECU, I noticed we were missing a connector. Turns out, the Civic is an OBD2A chassis & the CR-V’s drivetrain is OBD2B.

B20 Civic Swap

So what now?

We are looking into a couple different solutions. One idea that seems to be a winner is modifying the original D-series harness over to work on the B-series. There are also some folks offering up jumper solutions that we are talking with currently. Regardless, looks like this is just a small hiccup and we will be getting it fired up in no time. In the meantime, we will shift our focus to rear end stuff over the next couple of weeks.

This week’s update is short, but sweet. Check out this week’s video! We will be at the Tennessee Gambler 500 today through Sunday when this post goes live – we hope to see you there!
