It comes pre-mounted in a brand new A/C vent, so you don’t have to retrofit & risk damaging the original vent. And it plugs directly into your diagnostic/OBD plug, making installation take all of about 5 minutes – requiring ZERO drilling/cutting/splicing/cursing.
