So how ‘bout Subaru sneaking in the news late Friday afternoon that they’re pulling the next generation STI?
2 words: Sh!ts weak.
Subaru, if you’re gonna bail on the STI…
At least do it like a man & drop that news on a Monday morning when all the car enthusiasts are sitting at work trying not to work yet. Not on a Friday afternoon hoping nobody will notice.
I’m sorry Subaru, let me clarify. A ‘maaaan’ is one of those things you see going into the dealerships across the street to buy real off-road vehicles… like Jeeps, Broncos, & Tacomas.
Love… it’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru.
Unless that love is for boosted, big-winged, manual-trans, AWD ass-kickers. If so… then no love for you.
“As the automotive marketplace continues to move towards electrification, Subaru is focused on how our future sports and performance cars should evolve to meet the needs of the changing marketplace and the regulations and requirements for greenhouse gasses (GHG), zero emissions vehicles (ZEV), and Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ).”
“As part of that effort, Subaru Corporation is exploring opportunities for the next generation Subaru WRX STI, including electrification. In the meantime, a next generation internal combustion engine WRX STI will not be produced based upon the new WRX platform.”
