The Meet is an LA-based automotive event series that creates truly curated experiences. It’s not the typical parking lot, fairground, and/or speedway car show. Rather, The Meet targets a sense of intimacy, inspiration, and impact – over quantity. Because likes & shares aside – at the end of the day, it’s not how many people you reach that matters longterm. It’s how you reach them.

So through the lens of The Meet Worldwide…
The ambiance needs to be as expressive as the vehicles themselves. For the first time, The Meet went to the Midwest… Wisconsin to be exact. In a town called Lake Mills between Milwaukee & Madison. The focal point and/or backdrop to this event was Rock Lake Motors, home of a passionate group of vintage car collectors & brokers.

King Motorsports, based out of the Milwaukee area…
Came on as the official partner to help assemble the event. King Motorsports is deeply tied into the very beginnings of Honda racing & performance in North America. They were Honda cycle/car dealership turned race team in the very early 80s. In some respects, King could be compared to the Brumos of Porsche… with early Honda racing campaigns that paved the way & set the tone for the Honda aftermarket in America. King Motorsports was the first sole distributor for Mugen parts, & worked closely alongside Mugen/Honda in the development of race cars through the 80s & 90s. King Motorsports invited Cody Martin to cover this event…
Officially, the event was called The Meet: Night Cap. They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. And honestly, this isn’t an article you need to read, it’s one you need to gaze at. And soak up. Honda’s brilliance in their golden era… is that they did it as good or better than anyone else. AND they made it accessible… rather than exclusive. In short, Honda built something that built something. And that’s about where we’ll leave off. Enjoy Cody’s photos.
