Ford has announced that they will not be offering lease buy-out agreements on electric vehicles moving forward. Instead, you will only have the option to return the car after the lease is up. What caused this seemingly knee-jerk reaction? It’s obvious that Ford sees more value in owning the cars and making the consumers renters who pay a monthly fee. Could this also have something to do with the massive recall that we saw recently with the Mustang Mach-E? I’m sure we will have a better idea of the thinking behind this in the near future.
