Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge, will soon be taking over the CEO position of RAM Trucks as well. Kuniskis is not leaving Dodge behind. Rather, he’s taking on the role of leadership at both companies. The current CEO of Ram Trucks, Mike Koval, will now oversee Mopar North America. Here’s a little bit of opinion on Tim Kuniskis:

Tim Kuniskis is charismatic, energetic, and passionate about car culture.

He’s a CEO that car-lovers can find common ground with. Tim’s great at connecting with enthusiasts. And he’s the kind of guy you’d love to have a couple beers with & talk cars. Which is more than can be said for most automotive suits/CEOs these days.

But – while we know where Tim’s heart is, he has not yet showed the conviction and/or courageousness of Akio Toyoda. Meaning, we have not yet seen Tim put his career on the line for the sake of his ideals OR the ideals of Dodge’s dedicated fanbase. And in these pivotal times within the automotive industry, that’s kind of what it’s gonna take unfortunately. For example…

Kuniskis RAM

Tim Kuniskis’ genuine excitement for the Dodge Demon was unmistakable & magnetic.

Whereas his excitement over the ‘E-muscle” Charger Daytona was rehearsed, and far less infectious (see videos below). Tim honestly tries to do the Dodge fanbase proud. But so far, he has conceded to the pressure from up-top to ‘sell the agenda’. And in case you missed it, that agenda is clearly EVs.
