This church-parking-lot Chevy Silverado belongs to Andy Thompson from KnKut Drill Bits. And it’s a new project/collaboration we’re doing with S3 MAG, KnKut, & Black Bear Off-Road. Yeah we understand – it’s just a truck. A 15-year-old silver Silverado 2wd extended cab.
No big deal, no shocking specs… and statistically nothin’ special about it. Hell, you can probably find 100 trucks just like it for sale within a 50-mile radius. The cab’s stuck in the middle of being a little too long & a little too short. And the truck’s stuck in the middle of being too old & too new. But hey – in today’s world of 6-figure razzle-dazzle country club trucks, this is what we got. It’s what we’re workin’ with, and we *errrr Andy from KnKut* owns it free & clear. It’s just a truck, but let’s make it MORE than that. Jeepin Bubba from Black Bear Off-Road’s dad always says…
“So long as you got a truck, you got a way to make money.”
I don’t know if that’s true, but I like the way it sounds. You know what I don’t like the sound of though? The crack of a big tree falling across this truck the literal same afternoon as the Belltech lowering kit got delivered. Yeah – true story. But that’s life ain’t it. Projects have a way of throwing fun little curveballs like that. I’m sure y’all can relate. But Andy from KnKut didn’t just let the insurance company cut a check like he probably should have lol. Nah – it’s just another chapter in this trucks story. Because…
Shop trucks are just cool…
They’re not perfection, they’re survivors… they’re Americana. Workhorses with style, substance… and a little after-hours spice. It’s the intersection where function meets fashion… meets genuine authenticity. I mentioned that word ‘relatable’ a minute ago, and there’s relatability in a shop/work truck. Common threads. Everyone has a nostalgic story in their life, where a truck or a shop or a garage was a part of it. That’s what we want to capture. So welcome to this new project: The KnKut Silverado. Let’s see where this goes.
