Import Alliance car show

In yet another (almost weekly) example of how Ford no longer understands their customers: Ford is dropping the base model Bronco from the lineup for 2024. That means the Bronco will now have a $4,000 higher entry point – now starting at well over $40,000. Ford said it’s doing this to “better align with their customers”. I think what they meant to say was… “to better line their pockets”.

So in summary, for 2024 you can no longer get the Bronco with simple 16-inch steel wheels, a smaller infotainment screen, and a non-leather-wrapped steering wheel. Which was honestly a very cool buy. When the new Bronco was revealed, Ford boasted a ~$28,000 starting price. However, here were are just 3 years later in reality, and it’s in the 40s. Market changes… or market manipulation? You decide. But when Ford intentionally swipes the no-nonsense base model off the Bronco menu to jump the price, the correct answer is staring you in the face. I guess it’s all part of Ford having to make up for all the money they’re losing on EVs

The Broncos pictured above are available at Mark Ficken Ford in NC (for the black 2-door manual), and Jim Shorkey Ford in PA (for the silver 4-door auto).
